A Chocobo's Easter

This took me about five hours to draw and color. As always, I used pencil and paper with just a little bit of editing on my computer. My scanner was feeling nice and it didn't mess with my coloring. It did, however, chop my butterfly in half. Other than that, I think it turned out pretty well.

The two chocobos are Terra and Aqua. In case anyone thinks that I got the names from KHBS, no, that isn't where I got the names. Terra and Aqua are the names of my first blue and green chocobos from Final Fantasy 7. They got their names from being a mountain chocobo and a river chocobo. They also happen to be my black chocobo, Night's, parents. This picture is a prequel to all the others with my chocobo family because, as you can see, Night hasn't hatched yet. She happens to be inside that big purple egg though. Knight was caught in the wild, so he doesn't really have an affiliation with the group until he is older. Because it's a prequel, Selphie is also younger looking. Though I'm pretty sure she'd look younger regardless of her age. I always talk about her in the descriptions, so I thought it would be a good idea to actually draw her this time. I don't normally draw her, so hopefully she turned out alright. I also tried to make it seem like Terra and Aqua are protective of Night's egg. Whether it worked or not, I leave up to you. Terra is a little distracted by the butterfly flying by though at the moment.

I'm thinking of doing a full background for my birds eventually. I think it could be interesting and it would allow people to better understand who they are. Until then, Happy Easter and I hope you enjoy the picture.
